Kirby Science Discovery Center wanted to create a digital interactive to entertain children ages 7-12 with a focus on fun and learning and to encourage return visits for their Dinosaur Discovery exhibit. Extinction Escape was concepted as a 2D platform game that would take users through different stages for their choice of dinosaur to traverse with health that matched the dinosaurs diet. Hi-scores are shown using pre-determined code names to circumvent innappropriate words and having younger users not need to type.
